Atlanta, GA – De NES Partners, LLC is pleased to announce the sale of its client, The Home Center, Inc. (“The Home Center”), to Artisan Design Group, LLC (“ADG”). De NES Partners served as The Home Center’s exclusive financial advisor in the transaction.

Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Holly Springs, North Carolina, The Home Center is a second-generation family-owned company providing flooring, lighting, design, and installation solutions to residential homebuilders throughout the greater Raleigh-Durham market. The Company has established a strong market position by combining a comprehensive design experience with high-quality installation, responsive service, and long-standing relationships with national, regional, and local homebuilders.

ADG is a leading nationwide provider of design, distribution, and installation services for interior surfaces finishes to home builders and property managers. The Home Center’s flooring and lighting capabilities are highly complementary to ADG’s broader interior finishes offering, creating opportunities for The Home Center to provide builders with an expanded and more integrated range of products and services.

Johnny “JD” Deal, President and CEO of The Home Center, said: “I highly recommend De NES Partners to anyone considering selling their business. Doug and Don guided us through the transaction in a professional and efficient manner. Based on their years of experience, they were always looking two steps ahead and preparing us for the next phase.”

Deal continued, “The De NES team gave us the breathing room to continue running the day-to-day business and worked diligently behind the scenes to keep the process moving and on schedule. We are extremely grateful to Doug and Don for helping our family navigate such an important transaction.”

Doug Hubert and Don Schaeffer, Co-Managing Partners of De NES Partners, commented, “The Home Center is exactly the type of business we are privileged to represent: a successful family-owned company with a terrific reputation, an experienced management team, and relationships that have been earned over decades. Our responsibility was to help the Deal family evaluate its alternatives, understand what the market could offer, and then guide them through each stage of the transaction once they decided the time was right. JD, Amie Thomas, CFO & Co-Owner, and their team run an exceptionally well-managed business. That became increasingly evident throughout the process. ADG represented a compelling strategic fit because of the complementary product capabilities, shared focus on residential homebuilders, and opportunities to build upon what The Home Center has already established in a very attractive market.”

The Home Center represents the ninth transaction completed by Hubert and Schaeffer in the builder design center / flooring / lighting industry. Their transaction experience in the sector provides De NES Partners with a strong understanding of the industry’s business models, competitive dynamics, strategic buyers, and investor landscape.
